The Sandman
Season 2
The Sandman Season 2 spans many different mythological realms; underworlds, fairy courts, gods’ domains, etc. The requirement for greenery and landscapes was exceedingly varied. Fantasy Greens was tasked not just to deliver typical “greenery” but to craft stylised, and magical environments: Faerie woods, enchanted groves, underworld landscapes. The plants and landscapes would not just be background; they help define the mood of entire locations.
Delirium's Realm
To create Delirium's realm, the instruction from the art department was that nothing should feel fixed or predictable: colours needed to be spontaneous, textures had to surprise, and the plants themselves had to look like they were part of a world where logic bends to whimsy.
We sourced and created greenery that could feel both beautiful and unsettling — blossoms with unexpected gradients, vines that had to grow in playful patterns rather than straight lines.
Our team collaborated closely with the production designers so that what we built on set could merge seamlessly into the surreal visuals added in post-production. It was an environment that asked us to think less like landscapers and more like dreamers.

Elizabethan Tent
The Shakespeare tent was a joy for us because it combined history with fantasy.
The production asked us to help shape an environment that felt authentic to an Elizabethan troupe, yet magical enough to sit within the world of The Sandman.
We built and dressed the tent surroundings with period-appropriate greenery. Hand-selected herbs and wildflowers were incorporated into garlands; that would have been common in the English countryside, and subtle layers of moss and grasses to ground the stage in a living, breathing world.
Our work had to feel natural, as if a troupe of actors had set up camp in a meadow, but also rich enough to stand beside the Endless. That balance between realism and dreamlike atmosphere was at the heart of the project
Destiny's Realm
Destiny’s realm asked for a completely different approach from the other gardens we worked on.
Where Dream’s palace invited lush, shifting displays and Delirium’s world demanded playful unpredictability, Destiny’s garden was about restraint, order, and inevitability.
Our team created long corridors of greenery; hedges, vines, and pathways designed to feel eternal, as though they could stretch forever in any direction. We deliberately avoided vivid colour or anything floral, choosing instead for muted foliage

Luxury Restaurant
The luxury restaurant was a fascinating contrast to the more fantastical environments we created for the series. Here, the brief was to ground the scene in something recognisably opulent, but still threaded with the dreamlike undertones that define The Sandman. We worked with the production designers to dress the space with carefully curated greenery.
The challenge was to make the restaurant feel both real and slightly heightened; a place that could exist in our world but also in Dream’s. It was a chance to show that greenery doesn’t only serve the fantastical; it can elevate elegance, add intimacy, and give life to even the most refined interiors. For us, it was about layering luxury with subtle vitality.
The Dreaming
The Dreaming was the beating heart of the series, and within it Fiddler’s Green stood out as the place where our craft could truly shine. Fiddler’s Green had to embody comfort, imagination, and an almost impossible sense of beauty; a landscape that could exist only in a dream.
To achieve that, we layered meadows with vibrant wildflowers, rolling stretches of greenery that seemed to invite endless wandering. The colours were deliberately more saturated than in the waking world.
Our challenge was to create an environment that felt alive enough to walk into, yet heightened enough to signal it belonged to the realm of dreams. For us at Fantasy Greens; Fiddler’s Green was a labor of love, a chance to bring to life the very idea that landscapes themselves can be characters, offering sanctuary, memory, and wonder.

Destruction's Villa
The creative team wanted Destruction's Villa to feel like a secluded Mediterranean retreat; timeless, sun-drenched, and filled with the quiet dignity of a man who has stepped away from his responsibilities.
We brought this to life with terracotta pots featuring herbs, citrus plants and olive trees that hinted at centuries of growth, and cascades of grape vines to soften the villa’s stone walls.
The brief called for beauty that felt lived-in and natural rather than overly staged, so our installations leaned into asymmetry and gentle imperfection, as though the garden had flourished on its own.
For us, this set was about balance, a sanctuary that reflected both Destruction’s warmth and the melancholy of his solitude.
Fairy Realm
One of the standout features of the Faerie realm was the cherry tree we crafted as a central anchor for the space. The brief called for something instantly striking, enchanting, and subtly surreal, so we blended a living tree with carefully designed artificial elements to heighten its dreamlike quality.
Vibrant artificial blue flowers lined the pathway for Titania and Nuala, thoughtfully arranged to create depth, movement, and a sense of magic, guiding the eye through the scene and enhancing the ethereal atmosphere.
