Plantscaping

Punchy line about plants! Having worked on a lot of projects our team has well rounded knowledge on recreating not only the natural but also the fantastical. Set's such as Lev Zubov's Garden and Cherise Nuland's Office display an essence of the future within its plantscape.

Working on Fast X gave plenty of opertunity to familiarise ourselves with the tropics of Brazil, four different sets were given to us to explore the diverity of the Brazilian climate. The Tuner Party set was about highlighting the fun of Brazil whilst the Favella sets showed how nature and humanity co-exist to create the unique brazzilian aesthetic.

Ground Cover

In projects' such as Blitz our knowledge of ground cover plays a vital importance, sourcing debris similar or in some cases identical to the detritus that was exposed in WW2 London was important to emphasise the destruction central to the lives of Londoners and to the themes of the story.

Fisher's House in The Peripheral is a great example at how landscaping and Set Decorating converge, in order to create the realism but also the Art department's designs a hill had to be fasioned. Using knowledge of the local soil and our wonderful suppliers, our crew were able to transform the terrain to the specific design instructed.

Venom 3 The Last Dance also allowed us to showcase our groundcover with this glorious white beach sand that transports the viewer to the beaches of flroida.

Maintenance and artificial

Every job has it's specific requirements. On many of our jobs we have had to manage a way to keep plants thriving in conditions not suited for most plants. With our array of growlights, water and feeding equipment and our trained staff we have kept many sets thriving within soundstages for prolonged periods of time.

However, if a project requires it; we have a large catalogue of artificial plants.

The Peripheral, Poison and The Sandman Season 2 allowed us to showcase our fantastic tree building capabilities with a wide array of tree's showcased including cherry trees, and a stunning ficus from the natural climate of SOMEWHERE.

However on The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar our team got to shine with the application of Artificial plants throughout but in particular on the Jungle Set where not only did we source a wide variety of tropical foliage but also manipulated it, alongside additional materials to create a set that resembled a ARTIST NAME inspired jungle.

[02] CONSTRUCTION

Set Decorating

[1] As on most projects our work begins when given the assignment. We recieve our plans from the Art Department and get about making those plans reality. For the Tuner party Set we had to replicate Brazillian jungle and our Co-ordinator, HOD and Supervisor researched the species' present to recreate a tropical environment with alocasias, strilititzia's, fun buns, umbrella ficas' and much more.

[2] Construction are the first onto the stage to create the foundations and structures.

[3] Once construction is completed our team take their turn. Using the plants and ground cover that has been costum ordered, alongside and finer details such as moss and leaf litter, the team sets about placing the materials in such a way that can perfectly emulate nature.

But Worse then all that is you cannot, i repeat cannot drag anything on this page. All movements must be by the co-ordinates. Super important that
